1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten by participating in our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program!

All children from Birth to Age 6 are eligible.

Simply sign up at the library to receive a reading log. Each time you read 100 books, return your reading record to the library for a special reward and see your child's name/photo go on our milestones display. Take home a new reading record for your next 100 books.

1,000 books may seem like a lot, but if you read just 1 book a night, you'll meet your goal in less than 3 years. If you read 3 books a night, you could reach your goal in just 1 year!!

Osmo for iPad is now available for use in the library! Ask at the desk. Most games are recommended for ages 5 to 12 years old; Children 6 & Under Must be accompanied by an adult for assistance.
